Tamara Kelly Designs
So what do you do with your elk ivories? This past Christmas I had a pendant made with one for my wife. One of the things that I find hard to do each year is shop for my wife. Buying her something that is unique and different is always my goal. The other thing is you can never go wrong with a GREAT piece of jewelry.
While at the Holiday Food and Gift Bazaar at the Tacoma Dome we found Tamara Kelly Designs. The booth was being ran by the owner who is also the creator of this very cool line of unique jewelry, that being Tamara Kelly. Later on I was able to go back without my wife and talk to her about doing an elk ivory piece. She had never worked with elk ivories but was very excited about it. We worked out some details about shipping and what I wanted and when it was need by before I left the show.
After I sent her the ivory and some scrap gold (my first wedding ring) we exchanged emails and concepts of the piece she was making. The final product was beyond what I hoped for and delivered the right effect when it was un-wrapped on Christmas.

Working with Tamara was so fun and easy. I cannot wait for the next project I have in mind, which is a bear claw piece from my first Black Bear.
