Tacoma, Washington

Point Evans is located just north of the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge on the Gig
Harbor side of the inlet in Washington’s Marine Area 11. The closest boat ramp is
located at Narrows Marina on the Tacoma side, just south of the old Tacoma Narrows
Bridge.
Salmon Fishing
This fishery is best at the top of the incoming tide just off of Points Evans under the
power lines that cross the Tacoma Narrows. This is primarily a mooching or jigging
fishery and you want to position the boat in 90 to 100 feet of water. On the incoming
tide the drift will be towards the bridge. The bait here is typically herring and small
candlefish, so small jigs that mimic the local baitfish work great. Once
