Snake River Hunting Club
founding members Don, Mike, Steve and John
The Snake River Hunting Club started in 1996 when Steve Turner and I went on a hunting trip to Lyons Ferry Marina on the Snake River in Eastern Washington. The hunt was very successful and we decided to start the hunting club. Over the years we have grown and our members include a gunsmith, a Navy Sea Bee, an elder statesman and many more including our “Fishing Guide” Captain John Keizer also ex Navy veteran. John is a very well know fisherman in the Pacific Northwest and is the Captain of the “Team Lowrance” west coast fishing team and is the captain of the “Team Lowrance” west coast fishing boat, home ported in Tacoma, Wa. John’s website “Saltpatrol.com” is a very successful and informative fishing website.
With John’s considerable help The Snake River Hunting Club is launching this web page in the same style as SaltPatrol.com site but for the hunter. We will be building and adding to this web page in the following weeks and months. Our plan is to include assessments of hunting areas, guides, equipment and passing along any new or exciting techniques or tactics .
We plan to document and blog the process for becoming a “Master Hunter” (Advanced Hunter Education) in Washington State and the advantages of that certification. We will have a comments area where you can offer suggestions on this page content and offer your opinion on how to make it better.
This is an exciting adventure for the club and even though we are not experienced with managing this type of forum, we will make it an informative and useful site to visit. So since you have found us pass it on to your hunting buddies and we’ll see you in the field.
