Hunted with Chris and Mark this past Saturday at Cooke Canyon Hunt Club near Ellensburg. Chris has a great bird dog that made the entire day worth the trip. Watching Sophie point roosters was with the trip alone but popping a few cocks didn’t hurt either.

There was ankle deep snow in parts of the fields but it was hard crusted kind so it was not too bad of walking, still many of the roosters ran pretty darn good with the hard snow pack. Chris and Sophie put up 12 birds and we managed to harvest 8 roosters.

Then it was back to the club house for some of Alice’s pheasant noodle soup. Yum!
