<p>Here is an idea that you may not have thought of, besides taking a thick blade knife to the field you should also carry a folding fillet knife. Think about it, besides being easy to keep sharp it’s thin and flexible so cutting around the bung hole would be lot easier. It is also good for separating the shoulders and skinning would be simpler with the longer draw of the fillet knife.</p>
<p>So next time you go hunting think about a folding fillet knife to compliment your regular thick bladed hunting knife.</p>
