Here it is the opening of the Muzzle loader season and for the first time since 1996 the Snake River Hunting club is not in the field. So what is up with that? Well I am leaving next week on the 28th to guide Capt. John Keizer for the second half of the deer season and all of the muzzle loader elk season in eastern Washington.
The early reports from the archery hunters, it was hot, dry season without many elk moving and not many being taken.
Now what does it look like for the Muzzle loaders in Eastern Washington for deer well as you can see in some areas the bucks are there.

I hope they leave a couple for me and Capt. John .
The muzzle loader elk season opens on the 1 OCT and I think it will be really good. On the West side we have had some rain and the weather is starting to cool which should help the rut. On the east side I am looking for the hills to be ringing with bugles and if you have special branch permit you should have a great chance at a good bull.
Have a GREAT Time hunting this year and please send your reports to snakeriverhuntin@aol.com.
